As part of your pet’s annual Wellness Assessment, the veterinarians at Sunnyview Animal Care will be involved in reviewing a complete dietary history, your pet’s “Body Condition Score” or BCS for dogs & cats and, review of your pet’s level of activity and, any medical concerns that may affect overall health and welfare. In consultation with our owners, together we will formulate a nutrition plan that may involve anything from raw foods/home-cooked food plans, to a specific veterinary nutrition program. Regardless we will assess your pet’s optimum weight, exercise options, and overall caloric and nutritional requirements and come to a consensus for everyone involved. This includes weight management programs where we will work with you and your pet to establish reasonable goals over a reasonable timeline-healthy weight pets live longer, happier lives!
