Having an accurate and current measurement of your pet’s weight will help us ensure that we anticipate any early indications of changes in your pet’s health. We use a ‘score’ of 1-9 (5 being healthy) every time your pet comes in for an examination to chart out any trends, and can print you a graph for all your family to review! (this can help you track and manage your pet’s weight)
Of course, having an accurate weight allows us to accurately prescribe the right dose of preventives, medications, and any needed anesthetics for your pet as necessary.
