Dr. Maddie developed a deep love and appreciation for animals while growing up on a small farm, surrounded by goats, horses, dogs, cats and many more creatures.
At 15, she began working at a local small animal hospital, which ignited her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph in 2018 and went on to graduate from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2022. After graduation, Dr. Maddie moved to Vancouver Island where she worked as a small animal general practitioner and provided at-home end of life care for pets.
She is very excited to be living in Nova Scotia and to be a part of the Sunnyview team! Outside of the clinic, you can often find her surfing at Lawrencetown beach or exploring Halifax by bike!
