SPAYING
Ovariohysterectomy of your family pet has many benefits and few “drawbacks”. This surgical procedure prevents female animals from becoming pregnant & reproducing and can help your dog, cat, ferret, or rabbit live a longer, healthier life!
By spaying your female pet, you are protecting her against potentially deadly disease development including “pyometra“, a bacterial infection of the uterus, reproductive tract-associated diseases and, several forms of cancer. You also will not have to be concerned about your pet going into “heat” and attracting unwanted male dog attention during walks. In female cats, ovariohysterectomy will avoid the pacing & crying that occurs during this biannual occurrence. Of course you’ll also be helping to control the dog & cat overpopulation problem and-keep more pets out of shelters/looking for homes!
NEUTERING
Orchidectomy of your male dog has many benefits-including reducing or eliminating the risk for prosthetic & testicular cancers, reduction of reproductive tract-associated diseases, and avoiding several forms of cancer. This surgical procedure prevents male animals from being involved with reproduction and, can help your dog, cat, rabbit or guinea pig little longer, healthier life!
Neutering your pet will also reduce or eliminate certain behaviors; including roaming, fighting, urine spraying (for male cats), & unwanted sexual behaviors. In addition, you’ll also be helping to control the dog & cat overpopulation problem and-keep more pets out of shelters/looking for homes!
